Those 2 Pink Lines

Saturday January 26th

Happy Australia Day

Since Cameron and I started this journey to start our own little family I have constantly tried to tell myself that this isn’t what I want.

I mean come on I’m 21 I have my whole life ahead of me I have a job that I could quite easily travel overseas with, see the sights of the world and at the same time earn good money whilst doing so.

But you know when I seen that faint pink line yesterday I realised a few things, regardless of what I try and tell myself, this is what I want more than anything in the world.

This means more to me than any overseas trip, any promotion at work or any fancy car that money can buy.

I want to be a mother, I want to have the miracle that is life growing inside of me, I want to give birth to and raise and nurture our very own child, a perfect blend of Cameron and I (hopefully with his easygoing nature J)
I want to help shape the person that our child will become, provide them with all the love and guidance that I can.
I know this will be the most rewarding role I have played or will ever play in my life.

The thing about TTC that I struggle with is the control.

Every other aspect of my life I am in control of, my career, money, our relationship (by this I mean I can control parts of our relationship)

TTC on the other hand has been completely taken out of my hands, I cannot do anymore than try and prepare my body and look after my body so that I am able to nurture our baby as best I can.

When we are blessed with our baby I cannot control, the decision is out of my hands.

I just have to have faith that somebody, somewhere decides that we will make good parents and decides that it is our turn.

My thought for the day

Isn’t it funny how we let the one thing that we don’t have affect the way we feel about all the things we do have.

By this I mean I am happy with most aspects of my life, I love my job, I love studying, I am in a loving relationship, I have a great family, we are buying our own home, there is just one thing missing.

I am not pregnant... Now I know that I am young I know that there is plenty of time, but it doesn’t stop me feeling the way that I do.
That ache you have in your heart when you see a newborn or a pregnant mother, the forced congratulations to friends who only looked at each other and she was pregnant!
They always say to me just relax and it will happen, that is the last thing you can expect someone who is TTC to do, just relax.

I guess I know that it will happen when the time is right, obviously my last pregnancy just wasn’t meant to be. That is hard to swallow though when you do everything in your powers to be as healthy as you can be eating right, taking vitamins, not drinking, drinking lots of water.

It is even harder to swallow when you walk down the street and are constantly tortured with crack addict skanks who manage quite easily to carry a healthy baby to term on their drug and fast food diets.

Where’s the justice? Who makes these decisions?
This must be so much harder for people who are infertile to stand, and I know that I have so much to be grateful for and believe me I am. I have members of my family who have struggled with infertility and it is awful.
However I have never personally experienced this and so I can only perceive what it must be like for them, no one can really understand If you haven’t been there yourself.

I will continue to thank my lucky stars for all the great things in life I have been blessed for and will also continue to wish on lucky stars, flick eyelashes over my shoulder and hope to be shat on by a bird!!!

A couple more pieces of me

Wow 2 posts in one day! Aren't I a bit keen.

Well it is the Australia Day long weekend this weekend, we were supposed to be going camping up on the river with my parents and my brother and my sister in law.
I have decided not to go due to some issues I am having with said sister in law. (this is another post all together)

Mum is disapointed that we are not going but I don't want to go and put a dampner on everyone elses weekend.
I'm not entirely sure what we will do now I would love to do some gardening and just generally spend some time relaxing at home before Uni starts again.

I think it is supposed to be warm tomorrow so we might even take Charlie and Roxy to the beach

I love photos and taking photos, i'm not as good as I would like to be at taking photos.

Anyhow I thought I would share some photos of those things dear to me.

So below are just a few photos of lots of different things.
I LOVE going up to the river and going out on the boat and jetski, i'm not much of a skiier but enjoy the airhead and kneeboard.

This is my horse Jack

I sold Jack when I was pregnant as I did not want to risk anything happening. I really miss riding though and also the fitness from it, the kilos have crept on since I stopped riding.

Welcome To My World

Wow I have always kept a diary but I duidn't expect that I would keep an online blog.

A little about me, I am 21 years old, I live with my partner of 2 years in our house that we brought nearly a year ago.
We have three fur babies. A kittly called Cleo, a mini fox terrier puppy Charlie who is just absolutely gorgeous and also a Staffy x that we rescued her name is Roxy.

I work full time in finance and am also studying a Bachelor Of Commerce part time.

8 months ago my partner and I decided we would like to start our own family, so off the pill I went on our second month of trying we were so blessed to fall pregnant, we were over the moon as any couple is when your dream has been realised, unfortunately it wasn't meant to be and I went on to miscarry at 6.5 weeks, they were the 2.5 most blessed, fulfilling weeks of my life.

Well that is a little about me. I look forward to getting to know you all.

I will now attempt to post a few photos.

This is me with the light of my life, my nephew Cooper the day he was born.

Here is Charlie having a snooze on my lap the other night.
